Dr. Le Trong Lu was born in 1972 in Thanh Hoa, graduated in Engineering Physics at Hanoi University of Technology. He received his PhD degree in Chemistry specialized in nanomaterials for biomedicine at the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom); He is Head of Electronic-Electrical Engineering Lab. and Deputy Director of Institute of Tropical Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He is one of the pioneers in the field of synthesis nanomaterials for biomedicine, has published more than 20 articles in high IF ISI journals.
Work
The new finding of the work is to shed light on the mechanism of formation and growth of nanoparticles; and thus, enabling to control the quality, morphology (size and shape) of the nanoparticles through varying the synthesis conditions. In addition, the work, for the first time, used a very cheap chemical, cost is of one-twentieth of the chemicals commonly used by other research groups in the world, which reduced the price of the products by nearly 80%. The awarded work published in Nanoscale, a high-ranking journal in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology with an impact factor IF = 7.76 (2015).
