In 2019, the Ta Quang Buu Prize is presented to three scientists (Main Prize) in the fields of Mechanics, Pharmacy and Medical, and Physics. This is also the first year that the Ta Quang Buu Prize was presented to a female scientist and for scientists in fields of Mechanics, and Pharmacy and Medical.
Previously, on April 14th 2019, the 2019 Ta Quang Buu Prize organization committee had a meeting to review, evaluate and select. Nominees are proposed by the Scientific committee specialized in the field of natural sciences and engineering of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) (see full list of 08 nominations for the 2019 Ta Quang Buu Prize in here). At the end of the meeting, the Prize organization committee selected three (03) scientists as mentioned above, to propose the Minister of Science and Technology to present the Ta Quang Buu prize in 2019.
The Prize ceremony is expected to be held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vietnam Science and Technology (May 18th 2019) in Hanoi.
